David S. Brown

David S. Brown is the Director of the Entrepreneurship Lab at the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.   He is also a Management and Engineering Consultant in private practice, working periodically as a Fractional COO and CMO.   He is a serial entrepreneur and served on 5 executive teams and has over 30 years’ experience in General Management, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Product/Program Management and Electrical Engineering.  

His experience has largely been in the Telecommunications industry, in manufacturing, distribution and operations.  He also has experience on the sell side of acquisitions as an entrepreneur, and the buy side both as part of a corporate M&A team and as a due diligenceadvisor to Angel and institutional investors.  Dave serves in the role of a transaction advisor for DMD clients.

Dave’s engineering expertise is in the areas of Digital Communications, Microprocessor Design, Error Correction Coding and Data Encryption.  Dave has an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School where he concentrated in Technology Marketing, Operations and Entrepreneurship, and holds a BSEE and MSEE from Tufts University.
